Steps to a successful fundraising event:

Contact

Diefenbacher Greenhouses, the home of Blue Ribbon Blooms. Request information and/or confirm that your group will be conducting a fundraiser.


Identify a main contact

Establish one person on your fundraising committee to serve as the main contact. This chairperson will arrange the delivery, place the order, and process payment.

Schedule your delivery date early

Reserve a pick up or delivery date with Blue Ribbon Blooms. Select a date and location where your committee can easily organize material and your customers can pick it up. We suggest that you allow time between our delivery to you and the pick up time you have scheduled for your customers and sellers.

Collect Orders

Once you have collected orders from your sellers, combine quantities onto the master order form to place your complete order. Submit only your final numbers to Blue Ribbon Blooms using the master order form included in the packet.

Deadlines:
Holiday orders - First Friday in December
Spring orders - Day after Presidents' Day
Autumn orders - Day after Labor Day

While orders may be submitted after these dates, availability of plant material may be limited; you will be notified if any substitutions are needed. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., fax the order on the provided Master Order Form to (513) 741-7987, or send via standard mail. One addendum per order only, please; addendum must be placed within 7 days of the original order. Once it has been placed we will confirm your order, as well as whether it is to be picked up or delivered. Please refer to Pricing & Delivery for more information.

Delivery & Set Up

Prepare your area for sorting the material to be delivered or picked up. We suggest laying out material in the same order as listed on the order form, then pulling the individual orders from those sections.

Other information

Substitutions

When the time comes for us to pull your order, there is a chance the plant material does not pass our quality standards. If that is the case, we will not ship it. Therefore, we need to know prior to filling your order if you prefer we substitute the closest color or ship only what is requested (no substitutions).

Diefenbacher Greenhouses, Inc. assumes no liability for unavailability of product due to shortages beyond our control.

Plant Trays

Each tray or flat is grown to have all the same variety and color of plant. (For example, unless indicated as a mix, a tray is all one color and all the same variety. Mixing of flats—1/2 yellow and 1/2 purple, for example—is not offered.)

Ordering Extras

Many of our fundraising customers order more material than they have pre-sold, offering it for purchase the day of the sale. This might be an option your group would like to try.
